We need Mouthguards when playing sports.

A mouthguard is a smooth plastic device that is required in sports to protect your mouth, cheeks, tongue and teeth. The Dental Association has found that one third of all dental injuries are sports related. Mouthguards are mandatory in sports such as Rugby, Hockey and Boxing. I think that mouthguards should be worn on the sports that are above.  

Mouth guards help prevent tooth breakage. If your teeth is unprotected and there is no safety guard around your teeth when you’re playing sports, then you could get really injured. Your teeth could crack, break or even fall out. Everyone knows that if you go to the dental clinic, then it will cost hundreds or thousands to get teeth replaced. So prevent that from happening and get a mouth guard because just a small device can protect you from getting damaged.

If you give your child a mouth guard, then that is a good example to show to the other children. If one of your children play sports and they want to wear a mouthguard but no one at his or her school wears one, then buy one and then give it to her or him. So when your child goes back to school and every child that play sports see him or her with it, then everyone will want one. Even if he or she falls on the ground and everyone sees him, he won’t be damaged. Everyone will notice that the mouth guard protected him from any mouth injury. Then everyone will want one. Children tell their friends to buy one if they don’t have one.

No worries about money any more because mouthguards are not that expensive. You would think mouthguards is really expensive to buy, but it isn’t as much as you would think. Mouthguards are only five dollars at any sports store. If your teeth fell out during sports, then that would cost two hundred dollars at the dental clinic. If you buy a mouth guard then you won’t have to pay as much as you do at the dental clinic. A great idea is to include a mouthguard to their school list at the beginning of the year.

Now surely you would agree that mouthguards are needed when playing contact sports. I believe that mouth guards are needed in contact sports. All of my arguments above should change your mind to give your children a mouthguard when playing contact sports or even you.
