Area And Perimeter

In this game, I had to find the area and perimeter of the shape. I found this game easy because I knew how to work out area and perimeter. The area is section inside the shape and perimeter is the barrier around the shape. Next I would like to try to find the area and perimeter of bigger and irregular shapes.

Walt: find area.

In this game, I had to find all the shapes with the correct area. I needed to know how to find area and how to multiply. I got 14/14 correct. Next time I would like to learn more about perimeter.

Perimeter

Walt: measure the perimeter using a ruler.

I remember that perimeter is the area around the shape. You would use perimeter when measuring furniture to put into clear spaces. Area is the surface of the specific shape. You would use area when building houses. I have a good understanding of area and perimeter. To extend my learning about perimeter and area I should do more complex examples. I got 2 green smiley faces and that means that I got 80% - 100%Screenshot 2015-05-01 at 09.40.38.png

In this exercise we were learning to understand the concept of area. It was very interesting because we never did an exercise like this before during this year. I learnt that putting a pool in our backyard is very expensive. I enjoyed making this because it was very creative.
