Chinese New Year Poem
Chinese New Year
On Chinese New Year
They celebrate
Here let me show you
I will demonstrate
There is fireworks
And lanterns too
They also eat dumplings
For them to chew
Chinese New Year
Is called Spring festival
On that day
They eat a lot of vegetables
Children get gifts
That they enjoy
Some of the children
Get many toys
Every new year is
Named after one of the twelve animals
One of the animals is a horse
Who eats a lot of apples
Red is the known colour
Of Chinese New Year
Whenever they celebrate
They cheer
Families get together
On this day
When they are in the house
They always pray
Chinese dance
And dress up too
They just want something
To do
Children write on paper
And stick it on their doors
They never stick it
On shopping stores
Chinese celebrate
Chinese New Year
I even think last year
Was the year of the deer

How to make a cup of tea
How to make a cup of tea
Tea is a strong flavoured beverage. Tea was first invented in China. Tea bags is originally made from tea leaves. Here is how to make a cup of tea.
To get started, get the requirements needed. The things required are tea bags, milk, a kettle with water, sugar, tea cup and teaspoon.
Start off by boiling cold water in the kettle. Once the water is boiled, pour into the tea cup. Secondly add your tea bag and wait till the tea bag is brewed. Squeeze it out and throw the tea bag away. Never add your sugar while the tea bag is still in the cup because the tea bag will absorb the sugar, and therefore there will be no sweetness. Add sugar and milk if required.
This is how a tea beverage is made. Another fact is that in London, British always serve tea in a teapot because it is the right way to serve tea. Also put the milk in first before adding the tea. Have a nice cup of tea.

Robin Williams
Walt: write a paragraph
Robin Williams
Robin Williams was a very famous actor/comedian. All of that came to an end when people committed suicide. He died at an age of 63. I couldn’t believe that he died so early. He was very funny and fun. I watched numerous of his movies and the best movie that I remember him was in Night of the Museum. He was a great actor in that movie and also very funny. Most of his movies was my favourite. Even though he has past away he can still inspire people to be like him by people watching his movies. He was the best actor that I had ever seen. He really inspired me to be an actor when I grow up and be great as him. An actor like him will never be forgotten.

How do you think NZ did well in the Commonwealth Games
In 2014's Commonwealth Games, England won 174 medals which made them win the Commonwealth Games. New Zealand won 45 medals. But when you divide New Zealand’s population with the 45 medals New Zealand comes on top of the leader board. When you divide England's population with 174 medals it puts them in 7th place. So if an event happens in NZ, the best place will be Dunedin because they have the fewest people living there. I think that New Zealand did exceptionally well.

Positioning fractions on the number line
Walt: Position fractions on the number line
In this game I need to know where to place fractions on the number line. My fraction was 3/6. This fraction was easy to place on the number line because if I simplify this fraction into its simplest form, then it will be a ½. So that means ½ is in the middle of 1 and 0. It was also hard because I had to place improper fractions on the number line. I will keep practicing till I get it right.

Sports Retreat
On the last week of Term two for school, we went to St Kentigern College. We went on Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday. It was so amazing because all we did was sports. It was so fun. Steve and his wife were the ones that planned all of it for us. They also provided lunch for us. We had to bring water, morning tea and warm clothes. Some of the St Kentigern students were kind enough to give up their holiday break to come and help us learn more skills. There were other schools as well. There were sports like volleyball, netball, basketball, dodgeball and capture the flag. There was also a little dancing to warm us up as well. On the last day, everyone was moaning because we had to go back to school. Everyone enjoyed being at the St Kentigern College. I hope we go back again next year. I think that this was a great experience and surely, the children going to sports camp take those skills with them.
