Rarawa heard news in the bakery. The Government were in the village, talking with Te Whiti. The Pakeha were always coming and going. “They read out a proclamation. 2 weeks before the soldiers were coming.” nervously said Api. A meeting has been set by Te Whiti and Tohu. Rangi heard the news from Rarawa that the soldiers were coming. Te Whiti tried talking to the pakeha Government as they were damaging their community. He didn’t turn to violence, but turned their weapons into cutting blades. The soldiers walked straight passed the villagers and continued straight up to the marae. The soldiers soon came back with Te Whiti and Tohu by their side. They marched away taking Te Whiti and Tohu with them.

I really like how you have said"They read out a proclamation. 2 weeks before the soldiers were coming". I also did this task, and I had a similar summary to yours. What were you thinking when you were typing this summary?
